SpotRight Public Share Terms
Last updated: 2026-07-23
1. Scope
These Public Share Terms apply when you create, manage, report, or revoke a public share link for content from the SpotRight Android app.
These Public Share Terms supplement the main SpotRight Android Terms of Use. If there is a conflict about public share links, public-share content, reporting, or public-share moderation, these Public Share Terms control for that topic.
Public share links are different from private family sharing. A public share link may be viewed by anyone who has the link while that share remains active.
2. What Public Sharing Means
When you create a public share link:
- the shared item becomes viewable through a public URL;
- anyone who receives that URL may open the shared content while the link is active;
- the shared content may be copied, forwarded, or screenshot by viewers; and
- SpotRight may expose report and moderation actions on the shared surface.
Do not create a public share unless you understand that the content may be seen outside your private SpotRight space.
3. Your Responsibilities
You may create a public share only for content that:
- you are authorized to share;
- does not violate applicable law;
- does not infringe another person's rights; and
- does not violate these Public Share Terms, the SpotRight Android Terms of Use, or any applicable content rules.
You remain responsible for the content you choose to share publicly through SpotRight.
4. Public Share Content Rules
You must not create public share links for content or activity that is:
- illegal or intended to facilitate illegal activity;
- abusive, harassing, threatening, hateful, or discriminatory;
- sexually exploitative, child-endangering, or involving child sexual abuse material;
- non-consensual, privacy-violating, doxxing, or exposing another person's personal information without permission;
- infringing another person's intellectual property or other rights;
- unsafe, deceptive, fraudulent, spam, scam, malware, or security-abuse content;
- graphic, shocking, or otherwise objectionable in a way that is inappropriate for SpotRight's household-item purpose;
- designed to interfere with the app, other users, service providers, or security controls; or
- otherwise in violation of these Public Share Terms, the SpotRight Android Terms of Use, applicable law, or platform
requirements.
If you choose to share publicly, review the shared content carefully before creating the link.
5. Visibility and Availability
SpotRight does not guarantee that a public share link will remain available for any specific period beyond the selected or configured share lifetime.
Public share links may stop working because they:
- expire;
- are revoked by the sharer;
- are disabled or removed by SpotRight;
- are revoked, invalidated, or limited because of a report or moderation action; or
- are withdrawn because of technical, safety, abuse-prevention, or legal reasons.
6. Reporting and Moderation
Viewers who can access a currently viewable public share may report that shared content.
Reports are handled through the public share link or share capability. A report should not require the viewer to know or submit internal private item identifiers. If a public share link has expired or a person only has a screenshot or old URL, they may contact SpotRight support with the public URL or screenshot and a description of the concern for manual review.
SpotRight may review reported public shares and may, where appropriate:
- make a public share unavailable;
- preserve records needed for abuse review, legal compliance, or dispute handling; and
- limit access to sharing features, suspend or terminate accounts, or take other appropriate action where required.
SpotRight may apply rate limits and other abuse-prevention controls to reporting tools to prevent spam, automated misuse, harassment, or false repeated reports.
7. No Guarantee of Privacy Once Shared
A public share link is intended for external viewing. Even if the link is not indexed or broadly published by SpotRight, anyone who receives the link may still forward it or retain copies of the shared content.
You should share publicly only content that you are comfortable making viewable through a link.
8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Public Share Terms from time to time. If the current required version changes, SpotRight may ask you to review and accept the updated version before you create new public share links.
